arthroscopy

Surgery for some injuries such as meniscal (cartilage) tears in the knee can be repaired with a few small incisions around the joint allowing the surgeon to insert a camera and small instruments into the joint to stitch or remove the injured tissue. The small incisions used during arthroscopy help limit the amount of trauma that occurs during surgery and reduces recovery times. There will still be some swelling and it may be hard to activate your muscles following surgery.

“We will show you effective ways to reduce swelling, improve your motion and get your strength back.”

As you heal we will assess your movement patterns and correct any movement flaws that you may have to keep you active and injury free as you get back to your sports and activities.
